Working around

Working around

This week was particularly busy with an upcoming photoshoot looming and everything working around the unpredictable weather.  With heavy rain from the start we spent time in the greenhouse potting on tomatoes, aubergines, and peppers and moving them into the adjacent greenhouse accommodation.  All this could only be done after a thorough tidy up, the second greenhouse having become a bit of a storage point for wooden stakes, enviromesh, and compost over the winter months.

Shallots  grown from sets were planted out as were cell-grown Little Gems that were artfully interplanted between rows of beetroot.  Despite the wet conditions lawns were mown between downpours and edging completed.

Cowslips are having a bumper year in the fields and hedgerows and our patch in the orchard lawn is slowly expanding and self seeding making an interesting subject for our latest video this week.

Whilst the inclement weather is making our working environment challenging there's no doubt that our lawns have never looked lusher and greener, and grown as fast at this time of year.
